Default Dual Boxing

I was trying to start dual boxing on the server I play on and I can load up 2 instances of EQ fine. . my computer can handle that. . .but as soon as the 2nd one gets into the game my other one blacks out completely. . I can move him and cast and whatnot. . .but I can't see. . .

Any idea what is wrong?

Little more info, running Vista 64bit, Intel Core2Duo PC with 4gig of ram. . .haven't had any other problems with EQEMU.

Perhaps it's a limitation with your video card. What rez are you running? Have you tried to back down both instances to a smaller rez? I have the GTX 260 card and can run up to 4 instances comfortably on the same machine without frame rate issues @ 1920x1080. I boot the 5th and I start to get frame stutter. Also, if reducing the rez doesn't help, perhaps try a different client (SoF or Titanium).

Oh the other problem I do have is if I zone alot I crash, but I figured that was just EQEMU being a bit buggy being hosted in somewhere not as good as Sonys.

Sekrit... are you running on your own server, or someone else's?

I have to right click the icon and run as admin to play eqemu anyway. . .so I guess I do. . .I got it to work almost by lowering the res from 1440x900. . but my mouse locked up and I ended up having to go to bed. . . I'll work on it tonight and look into PlayNice

Also try setting each instance to a different core.

To simplify that you can try the launcher in my sig.

Run one at default (first core) then change core setting and hit it again.
You can fire up as many instances as you want with this tool.

Make sure both are running in windowed mode. If one is fullscreen then the other can/will black out
