Default Bankers of Norrath Idea

The proposed idea of the EverQuest Banking System is to bring a new dynamic to a game should the server administrator so choose to.

It starts with a common place in Norrath, the bank. A pretty static system which works great, It allows you to store items and money in there for your use later and when desired.

However, I got thinking, what other “services” does the banking system offer. First and for most.. Account setup fees and monthly fees.

The next, is Loaning. Surly a bank of Norrath has enough plat laying around in the vault to hand out a loan or too to its most dedicated and valued customers.

What about that vault? Surly a bank, for a nominal fee could store my Blade of Carnage, Epic or that lollypop i got form the veteran bonus thing to ensure its safe and away from evil forces. Surly protected by some sort of old magic too.

Next something came to mind, what the actual Knights Templars did, offer safe transfer of money to one bank to other. Though the use of the new banking system of Norrath, banks could be able to transfer money on the request of a customer to estimable a account at a rival bank, for a small fee of course of their trouble as well as the account setup fee.

Then I was thinking, Surly each bank could collaborate in a joint venture between all banks to create a new faction to allow for good and bank customers to be recognised across bank, across country.... word spreads quickly in Norrath.

Each Bank is run by its own bank manager and staff and has its own rates and fee’s based on faction and some base configuration values.
But should each bank have its own Debt Collector faction? or should it be a joint one? Where if you fail to pay your monthly fee’, storage payments or loan repayments, all banks won’t offer your assistance (unless any you’re really liked by) until said payments are squared .

Then on top of that, any journey though Velious, Karana or any city, potential could lead with a run in with a debt collector!

Nothing much more at the moment, except for my thought map.

@ google docs link need to make it public nobody can see it otherwise

@ rest, it's custom, and more likely to be handled via quests and some heavy perl scripting / source mods than utilizing the built in bank system...

It's not impossible, but seems more like something to piggy back a custom server designed around the general idea than something that can be incorporated to every server as a common place sort of thing.
