Default compiling for windows 7 64 bit

i recently upgraded my xp32 bit to windows 7 64 bit. wiped all and did clean install for windows 7. downloaded perl64 5.10 and also msyql 5.1 for 64 bit. installed visual studio 8 64 bit and followed added all the include files. i was compling fine with xp 32 bit. but i get errors now trying to compile with 64 bit. is there any possible way to compile eqemu in 64 bit and use on windows 7? anyone has tried this and been successfull? any suggestions or help pointing in right direction would be appreciated.

Yes, it is possible to do. Using the 64 bit version of perl will cause you some headaches though. Don't know why but Visual Studio encounters alot more problems during compile when using perl x64. Just use perl x86 instead of its x64 counterpart as it won't make any difference in the end.

I know mysql x64 works on Vista x64 so it should work on Windows 7 as well.
