Default Memory could not be read. HELP!

First off, I am a computer idiot. However, I followed directions best I could and received an error. "The instruction at 0x1000f0ce referenced memory at 0xfffffffc. The memory could not be read."

At first I thought, I screwed up. I called a friend over and he uninstalled EQ, and reinstalled it. Followed direction from the site, and achieved the same results.

Any help?

ps.

Windows Vista if that means anything.

I installed Seeds of Destruction under windows 7 with windows xp sp3 compatibility and got the "memory could not be read" error. I turned off compatibility mode and just ran it as an administrator and it worked fine. I hope this helps you!

Check the FAQ in my sig. It has some info on disabling UAC that might help.
