Default ROUTER SETUP..Setting ports...

I know there have been a couple posts about setting up your network, but here is another P Maybe it might help some people.

I'm running a cisco router (DSL) and am using the following set up to open the appropriate ports. if you are running a router or firewall you must open these ports in order for EQEmu to function properly.

the ports are as follows:
5999
7995
7996
7997
7998
7999
9000

where ports are *7995-7999* you can add more ports if you wish to load more zone servers...such as, add port 8000 to add another zone server etc.
if you have a cisco router..not sure for other routers, AND the comp you are typing from is the comp attached directly to the router, ,do the following.

click Start then Run and type
"telnet 10.0.0.1" and hit enter
this logs you into your router, you will HAVE to know the password to enter setup for your respective router.
type "EN" hit enter
enter password again
your local network address should be 10.0.0.2 run winipcfg to confirm..if its not replace where i use 10.0.0.2 with your addy..
type "set nat entry add 10.0.0.2 5999"
hit enter.
this opens port # 5999 for computer at address 10.0.0.2
do the same for the remaining ports you need to open.
once through, type
"write" and hit enter
wait for router to write config then type exit..some routers may need to be rebooted before new config will take effect.

hope this helps someone, im not good at explaining so i hope you can make heads or tails of this P if you need more detail ill try to help..
