I thought that was the proper way, and I am using quest::say. Hmm, maybe #reloadpl wasn't done after the original change, or maybe a server reset could fix?

Do you have any hints for a way to have a second NPC join the "conversation" going on with another NPC? I assume quest::signal, but I haven't seen a thread here yet in that fashion and I don't really understand it's use. Still pretty new to this, basically.
