You can read the blog to see what this is all about, but the jist of it is a classic server without the classic content, and fixing main mechanics issues without altering core EverQuest gameplay.
There is no release date for Eternal Edge, I am working on it in my spare time. If I do not finish Eternal Edge and give up on it, everything I have done with it will be released to the public, database, code, and all.
The blog will serve as a means of discussing topics of development or whatever's on my mind that comes up as a way of containing my wild thought process. Some of it's worth a read, some isn't. I like to theorycraft and actually implement theories and try them out. Unfortunately doing that in a public setting gets me overwhelmed with feedback especially while maintaining a server... thus, the blog was born. It also generates hype, so there's that too. If the server seems like something you will like, feel free to comment on it.
Note that
at this time there will be no beta, alpha, or any testing at all. It is all internal development and will stay that way until I say otherwise. I may invite people to sneak peek at some zones but they will have to be dedicated emulator players and/or veterans. Their purpose will be feedback only.
