Default Patch me? HELP!

First let me tell you something.

(I have Windows XP BTW)
I signed up for the Europian EQ Beta.
I got the CD and i installed the game.

Now i wanna check out EQ EMu

So i did what was told.
I made a account (on this forum)
And i made a new Eqhost.txt file with the new text inside.

This all went well but now i found a problem.
I need to run Eqgame.exe patchme.
I first changed the name into "Eqgame.exe patchme"
Then i get a question if i am sure that i wanna change the name.
When i click yes and i dubble click the file i have to sellect a program to run it.
Now i think it's verry stupid that i changed the name but that was the first thing i did.

How the F**K do i add a command line :(?
(Remember i am using Windows XP)

Plz someone help me.

Greetz Marcel

PS: Is it right that when i run the eqgame.exe with the patchme command line, the updater doesn't replace all changed file into the original ones?

You dont rename eqgame.exe to eqgame.exe patchme.

Change your eqgame.exe patchme back to eqgame.exe

Open a command prompt. (I dont have XP, so im guessing how to do this) Either you go start run and type:

command

or you type

cmd

then cd to your EQ directory...

If your EQ directory is c:\program files\everquest then type

c:
cd \
cd program files
cd everquest

then type:
eqgame patchme

that should solve your problem
