Default Select server, log in and then nothing?

So I am pretty computer stupid, with that said I did look at this forum for about 2 hours trying to figure it out....

I can select a server
I can enter my log in name and password
when I click "log in" it waits for about 30 seconds and then nothing, the computer is thinking during this time. Next my password is blank and sure enough I repeat and it thinks and then nothing. So I can not actually get to the character selection screen. What am I doing that ridiculously easy to fix I am just too computer stupid to figure it out

Red99 requires custom patches... that's why you're getting rejected. Try googling "project99 setup", and clicking on the first result - be sure to read it ALL. If you break a rule you're out faster than a ranger tanking Avatar of War.

As Burningsoul said, Project1999 has its own required custom files that you must download in order to play on their servers.

Read http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2651 for more information.

I have done all of the above to the T and am getting the SAME issue this guy is. Every time I chose Project 99 It goes back to login.

even went as far as a total reinstall of everything required to play this game.

Disappointed =/

I dont think I need Project 99 help though. I keep getting error 1017.

I have no firewalls outside windows and I have open exceptions for my whole computer on that. When I get kicked back to login, I log back in and see an error telling me I need to repatch

If you're trying to log into P99 then you need P99 help. They require client modifications that no other server does and the information on how to set it up is on their forums.
