Default Family?

Hello, I been in EQ since it first launched, and heard about the Emu from some friends. I jumped at the opportunity to see the game like it was back in the day. I got it all setup, all the required changes, etc done, and logged in for my first Back to the Past experience, it reminded how much different the game was back then, but nostalgia being what it is, I talked my wife and son into tryin it out with me (they never played back at launch, and are only familiar with the current Live EQ). Well, we run into a problem that my wife and son cannot play at the same time as me due to IP restrictions. Is there some way to get all 3 of us in at the same time? They have their own accounts, computers, etc. Something about temporary IP block etc... Can someone guide me in what I need to do to let them play with me in the game? Not being able to play with them would be kind of a deal breaker for me, and would hope those in charge of this sort of thing have some kind of deal so family can play together.... Look forward to hearing from someone asap.

Unfortunately many times servers will have a cap on number of connections per ip. You will need to talk to each server owner about that. Good luck to you and your clan!

Use this query:
Code:
SELECT * FROM rule_values WHERE rule_name LIKE "World:MaxClientsPerIP";
Upon pulling that up, change it from 2 to whatever you want.

EDIT: This is for if you're running the server, not playing it, if you're playing it, I'm sure the owner could make an exception.

I have to ask, do you desire an envirionment where you must group, or one where you can shine alone or with a few friends?

Hi, no, this isn't the forum for that. Check the Project1999 forums.
