I also own hosting and have been since 2003 via Dreamhost. I don't mind offering hosting to those in need as well. I've hosted many eqemu member and server sites in the past. I don't mean to take away from dirtmike's offer as I think it's really awesome of him to offer this. Plesk is superior to the dreamhost administration panel however, I'm simply offering to add some variety here. I gain nothing by giving you server-space - I just have way too much and it should be used.

Unlimited Storage
Unlimited Bandwidth Useage
Unlimited MySQL Databases (Note: This is not good for hosting an EQEMU database unless your server is sitting right next to the server.)
Administrative Panel (Similar to but definitely not Plesk)
Please Note: Plesk is far more powerful in terms of over-all management although this front-end is a very good product.
- No free domains, only subdomains of xonos.net (ie: myeqserver.xonos.net). You'll have DNS options and can add your own domains.
- Google Mail integration with your domain. (admin@myeqserver.net)
- One-Click Installs (PHPBB, Wordpress, Etc.)
- Elegantthemes.com templates. I have developer account, you just tell me which one(s) you want if using wordpress.
- Upgrades such as Dedicated & VPS's among other options. If you want to pay for them, you can through your own panel. Your account is independent and I can't delete it or anything like that. I can only allocate my webserver to you so anything you purchase is definitely your own.

Are these offers still available?
I'm developing something on a sandbox environment and will see how community response (and my activity) works, but I may be interested in leveraging website hosting noted above.

I don't really care about plesk or anything, a spawned vanilla instance of any major linux distro is enough for me. (Debian preferred).

Well, the smtp/pop3 I was suggesting for people on their home connection where port 25 is blocked. I thought the rest might be useful. We're running our website on a local computer and therefore can't use our domain name for email.

You can set up your mx records to a google apps account for ~5/mo (or other alternative methods). This won't effect your A record lookup for hosting website or game server name.
