File Question

Simple question is there a specific file a person can look at in their EQ directory that will indicate the patch date...I am wondering, I see there are several versions of eqemu and all I want to do is download one to run a standalone game on my pc..so being able to identify a patch date should help me download the proper emu files to run it.
