End of installation... What now?
Hi I am new to this, perhaps there is some missing steps for noobs. It can't be me!! lol
I've been through both Windows and Linux install scripts, at the end of the installation you are placed at a menu system.
EQEmu Server Main Menu - database, assets, new_server, setup_bots

What do I do at this point? Should I be able to connect from my EQ client (after making the necessary changes to connect to my local server)?
Do I still need to get the PEQ database and install it?
I've spent hours trying to get my client to connect to the windows server - different issues at different parts, I'm going with Linux now...
Silly, but where is the next steps document?
Do I type "Exit" ? What happens if I never exit this menu (I walked away during the install and my SSH session timed out).
Started over with Ubuntu-server (no GUI), is xWindows required? I pretty sure I saw some X11 files getting installed. The ubuntu server generated some errors toward the end. Can't open new_server: No such file or directory at /home/eqemu/server/eqemu_server.pl line 1340
then says install complete.
Now I am at "Enter a command #>"
On Windows I was able to see the server select screen, get to character select, then black screen when entering world. EQclient log says it can't connect to port #xxxxxxx .. There's no firewalls turned on. The starting zone for the character is some zone I've not head of before (or maybe I don't remember it), it should be Rivervale, not what it selected.
My client is titanium.
In a recent news post / discussion on retiring Titanium and other clients, tried to follow 15 pages of comments only to get to the last comment by the poster that said the topic served its purpose and is now locked but failed to say what the result was. Could the poster say what the result of the topic was? Has Titanium been blocked from logging in? Sorry if I missed that answer.
Not looking for custom content or mobs or anything, just want to login to starting zone.
I've searched this forum for hours for clues and tips, now I am posting.
