As a suggestion for future use:
1. you can have two eqhost.txt files such as eqhost.txt.eq and eqhost.txt.eqemu, or something like that. Then just copy the version you want back to your eqhost.txt file

2. alternative (and safer thing to do) is to copy the whole directory to another directory or drive. This approach will save you grief later when you don't want to run the patch server.

I use a combination of 1 & 2. First I never use my "normal" directory for anything but normal play. My alt directory is where I make my changes and all the changed files actually end up with a .orig or .save extension addeded to it. And then I actually create script files to make the version of eqhost.txt that I currently need with the restore amounting to nothing more than something like "copy eqhost.txt.orig eqhost.txt"

But I am 500% more paranoid than the average bear.
