For those who have trouble w/ the command line in MYSQL there's a pretty nice solution called mysqlyog. It's a gui interface to mysql and a very nice one at that. Installation couldn't be simpler just do a google search and download the software at the same time you download MYSQL then after running winmyslqadmin use whatever username and password you set when you start mysqlyog.
You can create dumps out of it and source them back in and all manner of stuff. If you're just learning MYSQL (as I am) it's a great aid. Here's the url...
