Default Allaince Server Rocks - why the only one

Just wondering why Allaince server can handle many people much easier than other servers, it allways has 20 people on it, and he has a standard cable connection.

i cant get more than 4 people on my server or it lags out with DSL

Well I've seen a significant performance increase in my server after I moved my mysql installation to one of my linux servers (an e-smith variant actually) and the zones/world files to a .net rc1 server. Pretty soon I'm going to open the thing up to the world and then see what happens, but as far as I can tell mysql doesn't run very well in an ms enviroment.
