Default Zone.exe crashes - I see lots of other people with this prob

Hi,

I setup mysql, made my db, sourced the files.

Started the loginserver, world server, both running fine.

I run zone.exe and after it finishes, gets to the Done. part it gives a windows dialog crash box.

It seems there are many other people with this same exact problem but I haven't seen anything yet explaining how to fix it.

Has anyone come up with any information? Is there a different zone.exe we can try?

i've tried this in winme, winxp and win2000 and it doesn't work in any of them.

It appears that whatever the problem is, is with zone.exe itself but I of course can't say for sure.

Any information or help would be appreciated.

This question has actually been answered many times. You didn't copy over a good spells_en.txt from your everquest directory, read the readme.

Default Thank you!

Hi,

I read that file like 20 times and just totally missed that, jeezus.

Thank you, probably what I get for trying to do this while I have the flu heh.

Now to try to get the db addon to source correctly. Getting lots of sql errors there, syntax errors.
