need help populating plz

im NEW hehe as in virginal to eqemu but ive logged into my own server and can use the basics like #zone etc so it all seems good.
i've got npc's but no mobs how do i populate the world, i have a decent db installed but nothing is there ingame? im sure theres a command to use, what ive done is install ethernalquest, then eqemu then i used the eqemu pathcer then i run the ethernalquest server as its so simple to use, what now? the db im using is the one with ethernalquest it seems to be good so far (looking in it with the fq admin tools or whatever theyre called..



also is it mandatory to use mysql?
