New Beta is out. Just 1 change. You can get it at:

Only the Zone*.exe changed from last release. The world file is the same.

Forgot to mention you need to add

loginport=5999

to the bottom of loginserver.ini

I think I will correct shawn319 a bit here.
You do not NEED to add loginport=5999. It uses 5999 as default, but I think it would be wise to do it

and gotfrags loginserver is running on 5997 hehe

you need a new loginserver.ini OR add the loginport= yourself...

I cannot get my zoneNT to connect to the World

-MiniLogin-
Login server listening on port:5999
New LWorld Connection: 10.1.10.88:1054

-World.exe-
LoginServer.ini read.
Using database 'eq' at localhost
Loading items...done.
Loading guild ranks...done.
World server listening on 10.1.10.88:9000

-Boot.Bat- (i get this on each of the 5 screens)

Any ideas?

Im using the new files and old boot.bat so I havnt changed my settings except in the new loginserver.ini I changed the information accordingly and have the port set to 5999

is this a bug with WindowsXP maybe or am I just on crack and forget something?

Yep MBite.

The DB commes empty and to get it working you need to add the folloing entry into zoneserver_auth table:

in the host field : %
in the note field : Grant ALL

PS: Comparing the 0.2.3 DB with 0.2.4 in access helps a lot.

I am trying to change this field but unable to?

It will not let me edit the fileds at all.

I can view the host & note fields with Mysql. Is it not possible to use mysql to edit those fields?

Hey all!

I know how to set up the EMU and get it going and all of that, but when i extracted EQEmu-Source-2.4-Prerelease3.zip i got 2 text files (changelog and readme) then a bunch of .cpp .h .dep and .dsp files in the folders world, common, and zone. Can someone tell me how i get the INIs and the EXEs? I can handle it all once i get the files.
