Default Step by Step setup for personal server?

Sorry for an idiotic post, but I'm a bit confused.

When DLing version 2.4-Prerelease3 or whatever, I noticed that it came with completely different files than 0.2.3, and I have no idea on how to start to set up my own server.

I plan on running a small server for students at the local school to play on - I've done so with a SPHEREServer (used for UO) already, but I feel that EverQuest would be a much funner experiance for them.

Can anyone tell me step-by-step how to setup a small personal server for 3 people to test a little on?

Any help is greatly appretiated, and I usually catch on pretty quick .

Again, thanks in advance for any help!

set up one as a server then set the boot5 zones ip to the server's ip, then set eq host on the other computers to the ip of the server, so pretty much set up the first as its own server, then just link the others
