After i did an update for the real live game the emu version fails on the server side with the following msg in the zone boot.

Now my guess is that the errors that are shown have very little to do with the problem ... however .. I thoughti would put them in to be sure '

I only hope that the constant patching recently is just to do with tweaking SoL and the recent balancing changes in EQ, not to try and patch EQEmu out of existence..
The best solution seems to be to have 2 subdirectories of your EQ directory, one with the current files (the .exes and .dlls, eqtext.txt and eqhost.txt), and one with the ones that work with EQEmu. When you want to run EQLive or EQEmu just copy over the relevant files to your EQ directory.

Drawde is right people. You don't even have to copy your entire directory if your low on space. Just copy any .exe, .dll and you should be safe.

Default Solution for last verant patch

After trying to understand what has changed in the last patch, it seems the structure of the player character has changed. Since I couldnt find exactly what has changed, I have disassembled eqgame.exe and removed all error check on the player character packet and, miracle, it works again ! So there must not have been many changes and the team should catch that up fairly quickly (I hope)

Then I would have to guess that its something in your configuration, I havent had any problems with 0.2.6

There have been alot of database changs between 2.3 and 2.6. Are you dropping the old database and importing in the new one?

I would recommend trying that..

My guess is your server isn't configured properly somewhere, and I would get on IRC and we'll guide you through a trouble shooting, or you're not starting up eqgame.exe right if you're running in fullscreen. If you want me to help you over the forums (incase you don't know how to use IRC, which I know some people that don't), then you can just PM me your db.ini, loginserver.ini and boot5zones.bat and I'll look at them.
