Default GM # commands drop to desktop

Well, I've done numerous searches and can't find an answer to my problem. From what I can tell, I have everything setup correctly.
I can log in fine and actually play the game. Everything seems to be working just fine.....until I attempt to use a # command.
I get dropped straight to desktop every time I try to use a # command (any of them). I'm using version 0.4.4 of the win32 server, minilogin and I've already set myself at GM lvl 200.
I am running a standalone server. I'm not sure what other info is needed, but if you want anything in particular, just reply and I'll put it in here. I'm using the following item and data files.

Any help would be appreciated.

uhh, I hadn't tried any other commands, but it's not just happening on # commands. I get dropped to desktop anytime I type anything in the chat bar and hit enter.

BTW, am I missing something? or is there not a way to edit a previous post?

Bigpull, you were right on.

For some reason I did not have a default chat channel or language set.

Thanks for the help, everything is working great now.

Thanks, that solved my problem too!

Right click on the chat entry line, if you're like me and forgot how to set
the channel and language defaults.

So cool to finally have an EMU up.
