A few things to be careful of when setting up a server.

Here's as list of the problems I had when setting up our server.

1. MySQL - The newest version of mysql requies that the services be stoped and started. The easy way to do this is to reset the machine before you run mysql.exe and create the database.

2. On the server I'd recomend setting all the addess to IP address. This fixed up my 1017 and the "kicked to character screen" errors.

3. Make sure you create the users in the database as well as the mini login file.

4. Don't add data (world builder) until after you get a working version (This removes any possiblities of a bad database)
