Default Need Help~

I am doing this an unusual way.

I am trying to host a server on a host I have, but I only have access via telnet and ftp. Telnet is borked.. so I had to come to this.

I uploaded all the source files to place.. and I need a php script to compile it and run it..

I have no clue.. if you can help me, it'd be appreciated.

I have no used a linux before, so I don't know how I should go about doing it.

Dark,

This doesn't answer your question directly, so I apologize in advance.

If this is a fresh Linux install, SSH should be on by default. Not sure of your experience with Linux so I thought I would point this out just in case. Pull down a utility called PuTTY to see if you can get in that way.

If you've already eliminated this possibility, then ignore me.

Regards,

krich
