Default connection errors

ok guyz.. i just found out about this today.. i have tried just to connect to a server to see what it is all about.. I am an old time EQ player.. i have patched my EQ.. running kunark and SOV.. copied over the eqhost file.. tried running from the command line eqgame.exe patchme and also from EQW beta 2.35a.. I get an error connecting..

Error 1002: Incorrect version!!
Run the patch program to ensure you have the current version..

is there a workaround for this??

regards
