error 10053

I amusing the 4.4 version of eqemu , and I am using the newest minilogin avabile ... when I run the world server.exe I get 'Bad Server Name' the server name is mystic. then I get the 10053 error. I switched the ports on the logingserver.ini to 5997 ..since thats the one that eqemu is using. Should I use the 5.0 cvs release with the newest minilogin

I am using EverQuest as my server name... but I still get the error... 10053 when I fire up the world.exe

As I recall, you get that message when you use the word "server" in the server name. It is added automatically, so you don't have to.

I don't havve the word 'server' in my server name. I am rebuilding for scratch and see how far I get, but I have the feeling that I am likely to get stuck here again. I have even added a host entry in my hosts file to point to my server name and ip address.

Any ideas?

OK, I have a long name am using 5.0 DR3 and am still getting bad server name the name I am using is (Legit)Innothule. tried with all differnt names long and short and I always get that error. followed right out of walkthrough.

There were a few other things I have already fixed, but I cant get past this. Read everything I could find and everyone said use a longer name. Well I have used longer names with no avail. Any help would be appreciated!

Ok, this issue is somewhat like the issue with the compression thing. I had to retype the whole file. Seems as if there may have been some hidden characters. It also fixed the 11004 problem where it could not resolve the host name.
