Default 5.0 binaries

i am having problems compiling the 5.0 binaries,

i'm using dev-c++ as the compiler

since i cant load the project file i have to make a new one and add all the files to it in the directory.

Now when i compile i get a error in the types.h file something about the __int64 lines now i figured that to be just a warning as it says in the types.h.

Does anyone have the binaries precomiled somewhere i could download?

Thanks in advance

Sorry, this is currently only available for developers at this time. There's a post in the FAQ section that explains the current status in more detail.

No, it compiles fine for most of us...

dev-c++ ?

The only compilers eqemu is certified against is VS and gcc 3.X

As far as I know, dev-c++ is just an IDE for windows and uses gcc as the compiler.
I don't know what the difference between linux gcc and the windows port is so you might have some troubles.

Markus

From the sounds of that post you seem to angry at someone dalcore.
You can find posts all over these forums stating "050 is unsupported and for DEVELOPER types only" , it hasn't even been released to the public yet.
As for being easy to use , yes it is , using the "CURRENT RELEASE" version , which is the 044.
If you have patched to live , without having a backup of your EQ directory , it seems you have nobody to be angry at except yourself for not creating the backup before patching.
The developers are working hard to get 050 to a stable/playable state so all can use it.
Spouting angry remarks on the forums , I can guarantee you , will not speed things along.
Have patience , 050 will out as soon as it's ready for public use , and will be just as easy as before , I would imagine.
