Default Equipping items on 5.0 - bug?

Well, I finally connected to the servers today after waiting thanks to the Aug 26th fiasco. Anyway, I created a character, no problems, but went into Merth's server and tried to euip some items.

I was a Vah Shir warrior, and so the following items are supposed to be compatable:

All Raex armour,
Edge of Eternity,
Hammer of Crushing Waves,
Jagged Shard of Frozen Flame,
Exquisite Phoenix Feather Mantle.

I got bored after that, since I realised there was something wrong. Each item I tried to equip was rejected, and in the case of the weapons, said wrong deity / class / race. I attempted to create another warrior and the same happened (Barbarian this time). Then I created a Wood Elf Ranger and tried some ranger stuff. None worked when it should.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a client side bug? Is there anyway of fixing it (excluding waiting for DR3)?

Turdbucket if you look closly at the name of Merth's server it says Item Testing. Items still arent done for 5.0 and there are bugs, Post in the Bug reporting forum.

tchowton you need to read for yourself. right on the main web page is a walkthrough on how to play read that and do what it says.

also, all those items have a required level on them, you must #level yourself first, and #zone for it to take effect.

What he said ^ I realized the same problem. You must #level and #zone, (or relog) and then you will be able to equip the items.

I didn't see the bug forum, sorry. I just wasn't sure if it was a known server side bug or not, since no one else had the problem.

I went into the server knowing it was an Item Test server, which I was fine with and willing to do (test items).

I used #zone and #level. Will place this in the bug forum after I try more combinations (ie, lower level toons / items).

Thanks, and sorry for the misunderstanding. That seems to happen a lot with me

It would probly be better if you used the /petition command.

Theres another equipping problem that I know of. In some instances. The armor looks equiped but its not, for example.

Say you summon a sword. You equip the weapon and summon another item it will say "Please remove the item on your cursor before... ectetra." Anyways, The way I found to fix it is to take the item and equip it mulitple times, *click click click* usally clears the problem.

It some sort of bug with inventory.

You have to zone first sometimes when you create armor in your inventory to work. IE same as leveling to 65 it won't display correctly until you zone.
