Default Incorrect Version Question

I read the sticky about incorrect version when trying to log in. Is there any way I can play on the 0.5.0 servers if I dont have the files on my computer yet? I dont see anywhere to download them. Would rather play on the upgraded servers than the old ones. Thanks.

Read the guide on how to play a 5.0 server. If your looking for files to downloan you havent read it.

either you're very slow (too slow to use the computer)... or you're just lying about reading the guide.

All you do is replace the EQHost.txt file with the one they link you to and then connect... (and no, not via the EQlive patcher)

Did that. I can connect to the 4.4 servers but not the 5.0 servers. When I put in the eqhost for 5.0 says I have incorrect version. I take it that is what everyone is talking about "dont ask for the patcher", which means I cant play 5.0 until they come out with a new version?

Step 1 in the play guide

Patch To EQLive

Run the normal Everquest patcher to bring your files up to date. You can verify that your files are up to date by connecting to the Sony servers and playing around on a character.

WOW maby you will be able to connect to a 5.0 server if you follow directions.
