EQEmu is a free open source emulator. You do not even need to run the emulator yourself, there are several public ones. While it can do quite a few things, it isn't even close to being finished. If your new to EQ, it could be usefull to learn your way around a zone. But it could also spoil the exploration aspect of EQ for you.

Browse through the message boards, and look throught the web page to learn more about it.

Try logging into the EMU Login Server, there is a bunch of ones there to explore ^_^

The Current Login server...

Open EQHOST.TXT

It should Say this..

[Registration Servers]
{
"lapdance.cyberjunky.net:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"lapdance.cyberjunky.net:5999"
}

If not Make it that. But thats only if you wish to connect to the Login place where tons of servers are listed

of course you need an account.. http://eqemu.net/login

when 0.3.0 comes out all the loginservers will be wiped so u will need to re-register a new one.
