Shadows of Lucin?

Ok finally i can login and connect, altho im having the 1017 error but it seems to take longer to get it so im guessing it actuly trys to connect now (unlike before that oct.9 patch fixer). Im wondering if this is because i dont have Shadows of Lucin? All i have is the normal everquest (plus the first 2 expansion packs but they r real old versions and i dont wanna spend a week updating them so i havent installed them :P).
