Okay, to fix the wierd colors, you need to do the following in EXACTLY the same order:

1. Open your EQEmu folder.

2. Find the file named "readme.txt"

3. open that file.

4. look at Part 1, step 3 of the install guide and tell me what it says under "**NOTE"

Little hint: it says

3) Extract eqw.zip into your Everquest directory. It would also be a good idea to create a shortcut of this file on your desktop or EQEmu directory.

**NOTE: EQW requires your desktop be set to 16 bit color mode.
