Non-ligit server are pretty fun...for about 30 mintues, then you already done every thing there is to do...i would rather go out and level and work for it...Now that im older.
P.S. No one ever plays on Non-ligit servers...The one that lasted the longest is Saltyboogers, Becuse the did a asston of events...Last i herd the server is going to be Simi-ligit...

i only use non legit when i was checking zones etc for raid purposes on live. Was a pretty good help for me as raid leader to know the path in new raid zones my guild got access too. Shame theres no GoD populated zones , but seeing a zone layout with no mobs has helped in GoD
Other than that , i dont see whats fun in Non legit
#level 65 #setaapts (no.) #setskillall 252 /target random_mob #damage 99999

You must have way too much time on your hands if you have the time to slowly level up ("working for it") as an adult or maybe "older" doesn't yet make you an adult like me, but means you hit age 13.

I work 8 hours a day or attend class 8 hours a day, maintain a respectable social life, work out several hours a week, keep you goons in line and still manage to have several 65s on the server with the steepest leveling requirement on EQEmu.
Maybe it's just you!

Legit servers are fun for about TEN minutes 'til you realize you could be doing the same thing on EQLive, but instead be playing with more people, on a better server, with a more stable engine, and with more options and abilities. Is it so hard to spend $12.95 a month? The only legit server worth playing is WR cuz some things are changed around and different from EQLive. At least on non-legit servers you can have GM abilities and explore and play the game in a whole new way which you never could on Live. With hundreds and hundreds of summonable monster types and GM abilities like flying and being able to change your race into any of those monsters and cast any spell, don't tell me a non-legit server lasts "about 30 minutes".

The factor you're forgetting to put in the equation here is that a considerable amount of us really, really don't like the way Live is now.
I guess I can see your point as far as Live clones go, but I don't think we have any Live clones at all.

I think SOE are trying to make it a little better , some of the new additions and stuff coming in tomorrows patch is nice.

Maybe not , if you havent experienced most of EQ on live. But i dont see the fun in seeing a zone or killing a mob or not achieving levels/loot/aas etc .
Im guessing the type of people that enjoy non legit are the people that have never levelled a toon over 20

It's all about opinion, I prefer non-legit. If I wanted to actually level and do all the work AGAIN I would play on live servers again. Also, you said no one ever plays on non-legit servers? lol, I dont know if you were playing EqEMU when the server LEGIT SERVERS SUCK was up and running. That server was up all the time and had the HIGHEST population of any server. I have three characters over 65 on live. Plus I have put the time in to do quests, PoP progression and expeditions for all three of them.

Power to ya, fenixe! I have multiple lvl 50+ characters on EQLive and I still like non-legit servers, so it doesn't always mean you have to have not played much EQLive to enjoy what non-legit servers offer.

What is WR? I hear it mentioned alot and I'm a newb lol. Also 12.95 a month is a lot of money considering how old/not newbie friendly EQ is... and when you have to spend around $50+ for the game and expansions.

haha , noobs have it made for them nowadays. Easy xping , quests for decent weapons at theyre level. Theres plenty of high lvls buffings etc , Free ports to most destinations (PoK) , access to too good xp once you hit 46+ (PoP) among lots of other things
over 4 years ago , i started EQ on my ranger on povar, At this time , there was no proper Euro server. Im scottish , i could hardly get groups or join a guild etc. Deaths sucked , we had no good items , we couldnt solo d blue orc centurions , xp was not good in any zone (Sebilis xp seemed godly) , Thank god Antonius Bayle server came out or i'd have quit
But now you see , EQ is noob friendly now compared to its original state. Kind of a shame too , theres so many noobs out there. As a ranger i get asked for buffs that arent even from my class , People dont know where to go for certain zones , can hardly play theyre class and other stuff like that. Such a shame at what a level crazy game its become

You lack skills then. I soloed a beastlord from 1 to 65 without being pleveled or buffed other than self buffs. Now twinking is a different story
